SUGARBEAR HAIR VITAMINS (AKA: MAGICAL BEARS)
SugarBear Hair sent me two bottles to review. Yay! I had already been a fan and taking them daily for a few months before that, so it was a win-win! Here is my story:
First, let me start off by saying I love being a blonde. Like, a lot. I used to be able to bleach my hair 14 different times and achieve all of the colours of the rainbow in my punk rock days, but now the ’40s are upon us, and now I am going for a slightly more respectable blonde with a hairstyle I found on the frisky website. This still requires bleach, which can be detrimental to the luscious long supermodel Baywatch-style locks we all strive for.
There is something weird that happens to your hair when you reach (ahem) middle age… My hair just won’t grow like it used to. It frequently felt like straw, which I blamed on my well water at my new house (instead of facing that it may be hormones). I am pretty strict on my diet, eat organic & am now on a plant based diet. This new way of eating shocked my system and made my skin more clear, but my hair still struggled with dry spells and morning frizz. (Disclaimer: The lack of meat shocked not only my system, but my husband too who thinks bacon is at the top of the food pyramid.)
In addition to all of that nonsense, I was also diagnosed with some thyroid issues which will wreak havoc on your body making your hair and brows thin, and your nails super brittle (good times!) My doctor recommended I take some biotin supplements or hair growth vitamins, but the ones in her office were $45, and clearly made out of some rare form of biotin and dusted with 14 carat gold. Sweet Jesus that was pricey.

I read reviews, compared ingredients and decided they checked all the boxes. Plus their website was super cute. I noticed about thirty days in that my hair was longer and shinier. These delicious little gummies are little magical bears. I have been taking them now for about four months and my hair is growing at warp speed. Maybe not warp speed, but definitely not the snails pace we were at last year! I have new growth all along my scalp. In addition, these little bears are strengthening my nails, which is another bonus!
They always include something cute in the box when it arrives, like a hair tie, keychain or a sticker. The very first time I ordered there was a promo for a free brush. You can still find that here!
In addition, there is more than Biotin in these bad boys. The vegetarian (CRUELTY FREE) ingredients are listed as: Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin B-6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B-12, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Iodine, Zinc, Choline, Inositol, as the active vitamins and minerals. The gummies are made with real berries for a deliciously sweet flavor, coconut oil, and a dash of sugar.
Ok, so in summary, I give SugarBear Hair Vitamins a thumbs up! I dare you to look at this shameless selfie I took at work and not exclaim “ooh girl, thats some sexy hair.”
